Kilmainham Gaol

On the traces of Irish history we visited the Kilmainham Gaol where several of the Eastern Rising leaders had been held and later on executed. A brief outlook and a good tour one should not miss. After the visitation we bought some Irish gifts and of course posed in Leprechaun costumes.

Oh, my goodness, my Guinness!

Last week's Monday we visited the Guinness Storehouse as I got two tickets from my girlfriend to my birthday. For your interest: The Storehouse is divided in seven floors and built as a huge model of a pint (the Gravity Bar at its top - Head of the pint). On each floor you get to know things about Guinness such as production process, advertisement, tasting lab, etc. Unfortunately the selfguided tour took that long we couldn't do anything else because it was after 5pm.

Irish coast, Glendalough and Wicklow

On Sunday we drove around and did a lot of things. We climbed over a few rocks at the Irish coast and as you can imagine it was quite difficult but nevertheless we made it because we are legend! After posing photos (which I really consider to be on my desktop) we drove to the idyllic site of Glendalough where our adventure continued. We had to walk through a flooded pathway without shoes. The water was well tempered at 5 degrees Celsius, maybe more, maybe less. Next to this we searched for and found a climbing wall where we later on might do some interesting things when a buddy of Flo arrives. Both are professional climbers...

The day was finished with a delicious dinner at an Italian restaurant in Wicklow. There is nothing else to tell you about Wicklow because it rained there all the time.

A normal Saturday in Dublin

As we woke up and decided to see something interesting it was nearly 2pm and as you might know, in Dublin every attraction closes at 5pm. So as we arrived in the city almost everything was closed. We found out that one can have great fun in the park attached to the Irish Museum of Modern Art. If and I repeat if you make a fool out of youselves.
To compensate this fact we went out on a pub hopping tour this evening, starting at the very recommendable Foggy Dew to Doyles and ended in Club XXI - dancing for the girl.

So again we have to show our massive party skills - for sure on our way we met a foam party on the street:

Arrival and departure

My one and only girlfriend arrived and the party-dudes left in the early morning. Till then we partied as usual. What do you think?
